I am a 55 year old RN of 28 years and avid sports fanatic. I have participated in lots of sports and currently I instruct “Spin” classes and ride road bikes. I began having sciatic issues about 14 years ago. However, during this past 6 months the sciatic pain and numbness has become unbearable.
I have been to chiropractors in the past and avoided going back after an adjustment that did more harm than good. I explained to the manager at my gym that I may need to take a hiatus from my spin class. Fortunately for me, Dr. Wheeler had worked on some of the gym personnel and they proceeded to hand me his brochure. Again I was skeptical of any chiropractor because of the pain they had caused me in the past, but I was willing to try anything to keep me away from any surgery.
Dr. Wheeler reviewed my x-rays and MRI studies and was very frank with me. He stated that he would try to help me but if I did not get relief within a 3 week time frame he would send me elsewhere for different treatment. Dr. Wheeler worked me into his busy schedule that day and treated me with laser therapy, and adjustment using an Activator (which caused no pain) and 10 minutes of ultrasound.
Since that first treatment I have bragged to the world what a “miracle” worker Dr. Wheeler has been. I cried with tears of joy because for the first time in 14 years I had NO PAIN whatsoever. I have had more treatments since and remain pain free.
